	Join us for Free Family Fun at this year's ArtSoup Community Art Festival. The Festival will be held Downtown Elk River from 10AM to 9PM on June 15th. Watch Live Music, Puppets, Dance and even an 1860 Fashion Show on the Great River Energy Stage in Rivers Edge Commons Park. Musicians will also perform on Main Street. Observe artists demonstrating their work. Children can explore their creative side at the Community Art Tent and in the Arts Alliance 609 Main Street! Click here for a schedule of events. The event will include Art Sale Booths(10AM to 5PM) with painting, glass, jewelry, pottery & much more - a great place to find gifts or something unique for yourself! Juried and Member Art will be on display and for sale in the Arts Alliance gallery. Local Restaurants will be serving inside and outside and offering Festival Specials! Downtown Businesses will be having Sidewalk Sales and offering in store specials. This activity is funded, in part, by a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, through appropriations from the MN State Legislature with money from the state' s general fund, and its arts & cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

ArtSoup 2013
ArtSoup is becoming an annual event! It will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Beautiful Downtown Elk River. Whether you are a Visual Artist, Peformance Artist, Art Appreciator or Volunteer, ArtSoup has something to offer you! Planning meetings will start soon. ArtSoup Juried Art Show

		Art Exhibitions
	The Arts Alliance Gallery and Gift Shop mainly features local artists' work. Gallery exhibits are rotated every 4 to 6 weeks, with approximately ten exhibits throughout the year featuring work by over 100 artists. Nearly all of the artwork is available for purchase. Gallery hours are Wed - Sat 11am - 5pm. 	ArtSoup June 15, 2013 in Beautiful Downtown Elk River. Events at Reading Frenzy Elk River/Arts Alliance ~ June - August - Thursday Nights - Coincides with Concerts in the Park 5-7pm -we will have a Town Picnic & Author Grillings. This will be an inexpensive meal: hot dogs, brats, chips, cookie, pop for people on the patio at Granite Shores. In addition, each week we will also have a different author who will be talking with people, sharing about their books, & autographing books for them. Sponsored by Reading Frenzy Corner, Arts Alliance & Granite Shores. ~ Arts Soup - How To Talk Minnesotan, National Author, Howard Mohr - This is the 25th Anniversary of this book which is being updated & revised for the 21st century. We also plan on having Minnesotan "contests". Also, Reading Frenzy & this book (as my recommendation) will be one of four MN Destination Bookstores featured in the AAA Living Magazine for July/August.
